Who are we?

We’re a queer couple who write together, cycle together, work together and basically spend way too much time together. Read more about us individually below!

Abi (she/they)

Abi is a white, neurodivergent and fat writer, artist, cyclist and student nurse. She recently featured in Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling 2021 for her work promoting fat lib in cycling and as co-author of her first novel Gears for Queers.

In 2017, she co-founded the Edinburgh Zine Library and enjoys running art and zine workshops around Edinburgh and Fife. She can often be found struggling to make small talk with much cooler zinesters at zine fairs around the country.

She enjoys cycling her new ebike, cooking vegan feasts for her friends and obsessively playing the sims

She is in a civil partnership with Lilith (Lea)!

Lilith (Lea)

Lea (as in sea) is a white, non-binary 30 year old, who is neurodivergent and sometimes Mad. They’ve spent many years working in coffee shops in Cambridge, Edinburgh and Kirkcaldy, was Campus Cycling Officer at Fife College in 2020 (which was a wild ride!), and is currently doing a PhD at the University of Kent, working with the Wellcome library’s collection of zines around health and illness. They draw comix, facilitate workshops and have a participatory arts practice - you can find out more about their work outside of cycling at www.lilithjoycecooper.com. They like early mornings, silly fancy coffees and playing games on their switch. They dislike soft bananas, hot takes and writing copy about themself.
