FAQs

Who even are you?

We are a queer couple who write, talk, run workshops, make art, and cycle together. Our first book Gears for Queers, was published in June 2020 by Sandstone Press. Lili is the taller one, and uses they/them pronouns. Abi is the one with curly hair, and uses she/her or they/them pronouns.

We juggle all this with working a variety of other jobs, including training to be a nurse, writing a PHD, and running art clubs in our hometown. We will do some things for free, but have very limited time/energy to put into things we aren’t paid for and, if it is unpaid, we will prioritise things that are local, grassroots, DIY, or otherwise share some of our fundamental values.

Wanna take part in our event?

Provisionally, yes! We love to talk about cycling and cycle touring, writing a book, and all sorts of other things. There’s some information about what we need from organisers here.

Would you run a workshop for us?

Provisionally, yes! We run zine workshops a lot, as a pair and also as part of Edinburgh Zine Library. We’ve done digital and IRL workshops before, and we’ve also put together collaborative zines for events – an example of this is our Cycle Touring Festival Zine. Get in touch and we can discuss what you’re thinking! Running workshops is a significant part of our freelance income, and we expect to be paid in line with SAU rates.

We’re a brand, would you like to collaborate with us/ do promo content / get some stuff to try /be involved in our campaign ?

Provisionally, yes! We’ve really enjoyed our experience working with brands so far. We have a note for brands here. Give it a read, check out our current social media content, and then get in touch if you think we’re a good match!

How can we contact yous?

Email! You can reach us at lilithandabi@gmail.com.

We only check our email’s once a week, so please be patient. If it is more urgent, please flag this in the subject.
