news drop ! 27th nov !

L: Ok so first up! I’m using a new name - Lea, as in sea, or bee, or Lea&Perrins, or (non)Dairy Lea - alongside and instead of Lilith, and it makes me really happy when people use it, so ball’s in your court!

L: Ok now to the important stuff, and the reason why this blog is happening a little bit earlier than our usual one-weekly intervals. Last christmas my mum got us a voucher for Saorsa 1875, the all vegan hotel and resturant in Pitlochry and we finally got to use it for a nights stay, with dinner and breakfast. It’s this big old house a short walk from the station, and it has serious agatha christie vibes - like we checked in, hung out, got dressed to go sit in the bar and then got called into dinner at 7.

A: It was a really great experience. We both felt a bit nervous about it- being vegan means you don’t often get to have dinner at the hotel you’re staying in, so it was the first time we’d ever experienced the whole posh dinner in a hotel thing, but once we got settled it was so lovely. The bedroom was lush, the food was incredible!! We both relaxed for the first time in months. I think it’s easy to forget how good we can feel when we’re relaxing and we’re definitely planning a few more little weekend holidays next year!

A: It was also just really nice to be out of Fife/Edinburgh. Covid has really messed up how easy we find going to new places and it was a nice reminder of how much we enjoyed it (plus we’d been to Pitlochry before which helped!) In other news, I’m really enjoying learning to drive, so hopefully by february we’ll be heading out a bit further in the country for quick holidays.
